So… how did we end up working almost exclusively with estheticians?

Joelle has been designing websites since middle school, long before it became her career. That early passion connected her with CJ Williams, now the owner of CJ Esthetics, and a project that would shape the future of Dope Magic Co.

In 2018, when CJ was starting out as a solo booth renter, Joelle helped her take professional photos and built her first website. As CJ’s business evolved, so did the website. More pages, more functionality, and eventually a full transition to Shopify for more sales.

As CJ began referring her esthetician friends, a clear pattern emerged. Many estheticians were facing the same challenges online, and most platforms weren’t built with their needs in mind.  We started creating thoughtful solutions: from password protected products and ingredient checking tools to photoshoot guidance and full eCommerce setup.

Today, we partner with our clients by designing Shopify websites that reflect all their magic and make life easier. Our clients are busy, highly skilled professionals and they shouldn’t have to explain their industry or hold a developer’s hand. We already get it.

We believe in supporting women-owned businesses, because when women are supported and resourced, their impact reaches far beyond their own brands.

FOUNDER

After graduating with a triple degree in business management, marketing, and international business, Joelle embarked on her digital journey as a travel blogger. She built her blog from scratch and found her passion for web design and development. That passion bloomed into her own agency back in 2019.

Joelle has collaborated with coaches, companies, small businesses, and therapists, and estheticians, landing them appearances in major publications, tv, and podcasts. She's got quite the passport of experiences, having lived, studied, and worked in Cape Town, France, Belgium, South Africa, Austin, the Pacific Northwest, and now, she's proudly rooted in the Bluegrass state of Kentucky.

Her adventurous spirit also led her to establish an adult summer camp in 2023, "Adventurous Womens Camp," where she gets to combine her passion for exploration and community.

Joelle’s on a mission to help women get in front of more people, so they can make more of an impact, and make more money through their digital presence. With her eye for detail, love of process, and signature sense of humor, Hannah keeps projects on track and vibes high.
