This brand caught my eye at Whole Foods because their wax top is made to look like it’s melting down the side. Perfection. Esthetics doesn’t have to be boring and Maeci is proof that the more you own your weird, the more the right people will find you. 🤪 I was 13 when I was diagnosed with ADHD. And like a lot of women, I got by without medication for years. Honors classes, soccer, university, two businesses, multiple jobs.. I made it work. Until last year, when every coping mechanism I had… just stopped working. I felt like I was constantly failing everyone. I’d swing between extreme productivity and completely crashing. I kept thinking if I just tried harder, something would click. The joy would come back. So I decided to revisit medication. I tried it in college and hated it, but something kept nudging me to explore other options. I made an appointment, talked through my symptoms, and was prescribed Adderall. And can yall believe.. the effects were immediate! The constant brain noise went quiet. I could do a full day of work, close my laptop, and actually feel satisfied. And enjoy my evening?? That alone has changed my life more than I can explain 🥲 Finding medication in my 30s has made me a better business owner, a better partner, and a better friend. And I wish I had done it sooner. If you’re curious about ADHD, medication, or just want to talk, I’m an open book. We all deserve to feel good at work and in life. Sometimes it’s not that you’re not trying hard enough. It’s just that your brain works differently!! 🤍

There are SO many incredible web designers out there who do the clean, minimal, neutral designs beautifully. And I’m finally coming to terms with that’s just not me 🤷‍♀️ I have never been elegant or luxurious or perfectly aesthetic. I’m loud, I love color, I’m queer, and its taken me awhile but I’ve built a business that is a safe space for people like me. I don’t know about you but when I started in the online space, I felt like I had to show up like every other “successful” entrepreneur to be taken seriously. But the more me I was? The more I started attracting the most incredible clients. Bold estis with loud brands and big personalities who were done playing small and ready to be seen. THAT is who I’m here for ❤️‍🔥 If you’ve ever felt like you have to be soft and neutral and perfectly curated to be successful in esthetics, I get it. I used to think the same thing about my own business. And then I realized the right clients weren’t going to find me until I stopped hiding the parts of me that make me, me. And also you make peoples lives better, like they literally talk about how awesome you are in other rooms. I hope you know that! So remember to have fun every so often or try new things. Have confidence in the fact you’re still here, after everything that you’ve gone through. And don’t forget to be nice to yourself!!!! It’s you and you forever 🤍

I’ve done 15+ photoshoots at this point… but these photos?
